Introducing the first cordless Router to be released by Makita, the DRT50ZJ LXT Li-ion Brushless Router/Trimmer. The brushless motor in this router is engineering perfection, providing up to 50% more efficiency in comparison to similar models, with less friction created thanks to the brushless design the motor is able to produce more torque, reducing the power requirement for those daily jobs. Variable speed control allows for high speed trimming and routing as well as for the more delicate tasks, with a speed range of 10,000 – 30,000 rpm and soft start to prevent snagging when the machine is in operation.

A comfortable hold and easy handling is provided by the non-slip elastomer body grip and with a clear view of the bit through the expanded opening section of the base assembly you can be sure of precision control for a perfect cut every time. The DRT50ZJ Trimmer is a very durable and solid built unit with aluminium base housing, an effective base locking system, 6mm and 8mm collect capacity and a 0.4mm plunge capacity with trimmer base. The lightweight 2.1KG Brushless Router can be connected to a dust extractor using the trimmer base dust nozzle, saving mess on the job site or around the home, with an LED worklight for illumination for jobs in darker or dull environments.
